The
Lil Aaron and the Old Guys Story!
Once upon a time there
was this guy named
Richie Who has been playing bass professionally for like.... 32 years. He
has this kid that is looking for his place in the world. It turns out he
wants to beat on the drums. He starts sitting in with his dad's band. He
keeps hanging around and practicing his butt off. He starts honkin on a
harmonica and singing and making all kinds of noise and it turns out he got
really good at all three. Like turn your head I can't believe that kid
sounds so good.
At 12 years old Aaron is a veteran of sorts already.
Since Aaron was 9 he has been fearlessly playing and singing in front of crowds of all
sizes. For a while he played with another young local cat named Reggie Sears.
Reggie and Aaron played some really cool shows together. But then that kind
of faded away and Reggie started doing his own thing. Then Luis Marsans
(Richie's veteran guitar playing buddy) came over to jam. It sounded big and
fresh from the very first note. We decided to form a new band around Lil
Aaron. We're really
not THAT old but compared to Aaron we are. Then the really old guy got in
involved. Michael Wainright who was one of Richie's mentors joined the band
to fill it up with great sax and keyboard parts.
This
band is now playing live
events in South Florida and the reception has been excellent. You would not
think that a young guy could get the attention of a large audience
especially from behind the drums. But Lil Aaron has that special something
that you have to be born with. People find themselves saying where is that
voice coming from and listen to that kid play! The musicians that surround
him are very accomplished as well. Lead guitarist Luis Marsans has toured
with many famous entertainers including Ricky Martin. Bassist Richie Goldman
has been playing for 32 years and is records with Bobby Caldwell, Firefall
and TK recording artists. Michael Wainright on horns is a South Florida icon
and has toured the world. This is an act that people talk about and
remember. They would be great for your festival.
We hope you’ll consider
Lil Aaron and the Old Guys
for your next
big event.
